@paramira/redact

Finds identifying details in free text on the device — names, phone numbers, emails, links, ID numbers, exact dates, ages (English, French, Kinyarwanda, Swahili) and a caller's own sensitive terms — as spans for a person to review, and applies the ones they accept.

What it does

Finds identifying details in free text, on the device, and returns them as spans for the writer to review: accept, edit or keep each one. It never decides for anyone and never sends text anywhere.

Languages built in: English, French, Kinyarwanda, Swahili.

What it can't do: recognise a description that identifies someone without naming them ("the only woman with twins on the boat"). Human review has to catch those.

MIT licensed.
