What it does
A Capacitor plugin (Android) that runs an embedded Tor daemon (info.guardianproject:tor-android) and routes the whole WebView through it with a proxy override (androidx.webkit.ProxyController, SOCKS5 on 127.0.0.1:9050): the app's relay connections, API calls and uploads all go through Tor.
connected is reported only once Tor is on and the proxy override is active, never on a WebView without proxy-override support. An app should wait for it before opening connections, and treat a timeout as "not private" rather than carrying on silently.
The app's android/build.gradle must list the Guardian Project repository, since Gradle does not take repositories from a library:
Used by the Paramira companion app and iwacu's Android build.
